Taking place over Thursday and Friday of last week, city workers and employees from ABE Concrete and Excavating were on site along with a Haas Sons concrete truck and Ram Concrete Pumper to pour the footings and foundation walls of the new seasonal building off First Avenue, near where the depot stood in downtown Stanley. City public works operator in charge John Hoel said the plumbing, concrete, and final grade will be done in the next two weeks, while completion depends on the contractor’s workload. Above, anchor bolts with a 90 degree turn are placed in the wet concrete to furnish a sure footing for the coming superstructure.
