HOMEPLACE Happenings
Our residents had a great Easter filled with Baskets of treats and Easter eggs with family and friends stopping by to wish a happy Easter we even had some of our residents wearing bunny ears and spreading cheer to everyone they were adorable.
I had a chance to sit with Dennis in our library and worked on a jigsaw puzzle with him he enjoys talking about farming and the machinery he worked on and a sister who owns a wellknown supper club just out of Stanley. Denny’s a great guy and I look forward to finishing the puzzle we started together.
Monica and I are still doing our exercise program and walking a few times a week Monica is very committed to her exercising and eating well and we started dancing after our exercises and we have more residents joining in dancing and that is great exercise for them and they are having fun the smiles on their faces shows it, our residents requested polka music and I did the two-step with John who is 94, Monica, Anna and Lilly also joined in. John remembered dancing in Boyd at a dance hall when he was a senior in high school and it was 15 cents to get in he said they danced all night. It was amazing watching John at 94 do the two-step he had so much fun, Way to go John! We will add music to our exercise class from now on in hopes more will join in.
Our RCAC residents are painting wooden figures they are very creative and love doing all the projects they do with the activities coordinator we stay very busy.
