HOMEPLACE

With spring almost here it’s a perfect time to craft paper flowers and sun catchers- some residents enjoyed making the tissue paper flowers like they did when they were in grade school. Rita, June and Joann quickly remembered how to make them. The ladies loved their flowers so much and will enjoy sharing them with family and friends. Our other residents made beautiful sun catchers! Larry, Bun- ny, Barb, Anna and Monica all choose their favorite colors of tissue paper and cut into small pieces and began gluing them on to their constructed frame. They were so excited to hang them in their window and catch the sun. They are Beautiful!

Tuesdays and Thursdays are the days we have lead ex- ercise. This week Monica, Larry, Barb, Bunny and Anna joined our class. John was entertained by watching the group exercise! Monica and I walked 3 days this week and with the weather improving we can walk more often and Monica also rides her stationary bike 20 minutes every day. Way to go Monica!

We celebrated a birthday this past weekend with balloons and cake. Happy Birthday Jules!

It’s Bingo! The favorite activity of the week- Joann, Rita, June, Bernice and Cindy winning the Blackout round. We all joke with June, Rita, Joann and Esther because they are the luckiest ladies and win a lot! We may have to separate them or take their table. (haha!) The ladies had t-shirts made to wear to bingo saying (crazy bingo ladies)-crazy lucky that is!

Our residents were Anointed during Catholic Mass this week. This is to give comfort, peace, courage and forgiveness and give hope to those who are sick. We prayed for Sandi who is in the hospital, Bob ( Jackie’s Husband) and Terry (Bunny’s son). It was a special mass to remember our sick and to give thanks.

We also have a new addition to The Homeplace family! Please give a warm welcome to Delores! Delores comes to us from the Thorp area. She and her family have been a part of our community for generations. We look forward to all the laughs that are to come. Welcome Delores!
