Happy Hoops Basketball is here! The four-week basketball workshop for children in first, second and third grade began its third year on January 6th in the Stanley-Boyd High School and Elementary gyms. Smiles and determination lined the faces of the young participants as they worked hard to learn and improve their basketball skills. Organized by Jason and Becky Isenberger with help from local volunteers, the purpose of Happy Hoops is to “foster the love of love of basketball at an early age through fundamentals and drills.” The cost for the workshop was $18 per child and included a ball for every student. The classes are held on two Saturdays in January and two in February from 10 am to 11 am.
