The Knights will hold their annual Tootsie Roll drive this weekend April 22 to the 24th. KC volunteers will be at the Hansen's IGA all three days giving away tootsie rolls to individuals that donate to help the intel- lectual disable people in Wisconsin. In 2021, all the KC councils in the state collected over $600,000. Councils throughout the state have gotten back over $400,000 of that which will assist intellectually disabled in their area. Of that $400,000 our local coun – cil received back $2100.00. The Special
Education Department at the Stanley-Boyd School and the Cadott Special Education De – partment received $1050.00 each. The State Council has distributed over $114,228.46 to 39 groups throughout the state that requested funds through a grant application. Organizations that work with People with Intellectual Disabilities are encouraged to submit an application for these funds. If interested in receiving some of these funds, contact our local KC council.
