The Knights will hold their annual Tootsie Roll drive this weekend from April 21 to the 23rd. KC volunteers will be at the Hansen’s IGA all three days giving away tootsie rolls to individuals that donate to help the intellectual disable people in Wisconsin. In 2022, all the KC councils in the state collected over $588,000. Councils throughout the state have gotten back over $397,000 of that which will assist intellectually disabled in their area. Of that $397,000 our local council received back $1650.20. The Special Education Department at the Stanley-Boyd School and the Cadott Special Education Department received $742.59 each. Team Wisconsin Special Olympics received $165.02. The State Council has distributed over $133,000.00 throughout the state to councils that requested funds through a grant application. Organizations that work with People with Intellectual Disabilities are encouraged to submit an application for these funds. If interested in receiving some of these funds, contact our local KC council.
