Man seeks assistance with historical inquiries

Dear Editor:

I am writing about all the rural schools in the rural country areas and how far we’ve come over the years.

I would like a photo of the old Eidsvold School with the bell tower on the roof, and the bell inside. I’ve seen the bell and tower at the Stanley Historical Society last summer. It was loud. My Dad went there. I used to live down the road from the old cheese factory store.

I was born in 1958 on November 19th that year and moved to Edson around the year 1960 or so. I was about two years old. There was a former cheese factory too (North Star Cheese or Edson Dairy).

I would also like a list of all those who at- tended the old Eidsvold School including my Dad William Thill. Ms. Christine Jankoski was the teacher there, and many others. I would like more info about Christine Jankoski and how long did she teach. Did she attend the State Teacher’s College at Eau Claire like those who came before?

Also, when I was old enough I used to go with my dad on the milk route and picking up cans at the farms along the way, and then to the old Ludington Coop Creamery to unload the cans and put them on the track into the plant. I would like to thank you for the couee cup.

Thank you, Frank Thill (Editorial Note: If someone brings in the re- quested building photo for the Eidsvold School, we will see that it gets printed in the newspaper).
