The latest wastewater department report is in for the city of Stanley, contained in the council packet for Monday, Oct. 6. Advanced Wastewater Operator In Charge Nick Martin detailed routine plant operations, as well as work planned and planned training.
As for planned training, Martin will be attending the Wisconsin Wastewater Operator’s Association (WWOA) Annual Conference in LaCrosse from Oct. 14 through Oct. 17 for DNR credit requirements for an advanced wastewater license.
As for routine plant operation, this includes industrial, influent, and effluent sampling, as well as optimizing phosphorous limits , adjusting waste levels to maintain Biological Phosphorous Removal, and press and haul sludge. Aside from this Martin reported billing work and locating tickets for Haas.
As for work planned, Martin reported daily plant operations, sludge pumping, continued work on maintenance, sewer inspections, sewer jetting, and the cleaning and organization of the garage.
