Delmar Chairman Peterson announced at the May 15 monthly meeting that the culvert on County Rd O and 345th St. will be replaced by the county. The approximate projected cost is $40,000 but culvert aid will bring in half the cost leaving the Town of Delmar with the remaining $20,000. Chairman Peterson mentioned that Mahr Brothers City View Farm has expressed that they will donate $10,000 toward the price of the culvert as the improved culvert will directly affect and improve their property.
In other news, Ken Brunner will be retiring from the Cemetery Committee after 20 years of service. The Town of Delmar will look for his replacement in the future. The next meeting will be held June 19 at 8 pm.
