Miss Boyd 2024 is now official—and her name is Syleen Seichter.
Crowned Friday, May 24 at 12:30 p.m. in the big pavilion at Lotz Park, Seichter succeeds Miss Boyd 2023 Delani Mercier in the role.
Mercier and 2023 Boyd Princess MacKenzie Stefanakos were on hand to assist with the ceremonies.
Seichter gave a short speech introducing herself prior to being crowned.
“My name is Syleen Seichter. My parents are Carrie and Rolly Seichter. I have a twin brother Dylan and older sister Roxanne. We live on a farm that has been in my dad’s family for over 100 years. I enjoy volleyball, basketball, and track. I work at the school as a lifeguard helping teach swimming lessons along with working at Martino’s. I am a member of the FCCLA club and Yearbook club at Stanley. In my free time I enjoy volunteering when I can, spending time with friends and family, I am looking forward to college and what the future holds for me, though I am unsure of career path. I wanted to be Miss Boyd to bring joy to people, and my grandpa, as well as following in my sister’s footsteps. I look forward to being Miss Boyd and hope to be a good example.”
