Moving Books and Dirt at the Library!

Busy Monday at the D.R. Moon Memorial Library, two trucks from Chippewa Valley Excavating were on site to move dirt, aided by heavy equipment as the library renovation gets underway on Fourth Avenue. The library moved books (left) to storage at Faith Free as work began July 20 on the over $4 million renovation and addition project.

Community members worked to move library books and materials last week in preparation for the start of construction at the library July 20. The project scheduled to take from 12 to 18 months total will see library services temporarily moved to the Stanley Fire Station on First Avenue.
