New rodeo seating will expand next year’s bleacher capacity

It may still be fall, but next year’s Rodeo will have some new seating, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Stanley Truck Pull and Rodeo (STPR) Association.

Brought home from Alabama for $30,000 this past summer, used bleachers on a new concrete pad will expand seating, providing for approximately 500 more people next year.

The bleachers, which are made of aluminum and  120 feet in total length, comprise 18 rows in place of 13 and have the same gradient as the old ones, being longer from front to back.

“It’s about the same,” Kevin Hendrickson said of the bleacher gradient versus the former ones. Hendrickson said that he, Bill Ebben, Dave Endru, and Jeff Westaby worked on install, And more bleachers?

“Not immediately,” Hendrickson said. “If we find something on sale or an auction. Now with a new concrete pad, the Rodeo bleachers will be in—ahead of time.
