CITY OF STANLEY REGULAR MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL September 20, 2021 AT 7:00P.M.

Mayor Al Haas presiding.

On roll call, Al Haas, Rick Hodowanic, Mark Fitzsimmons, Jason Meyer, Kevin Hendrickson, Mike Henke, Jacob Huff, Laurie Foster, and Holly Kitchell.

Members Present: Rick Hodowanic, Mark Fitzsimmons, Jason Meyer, Kevin Hendricskon (Phone), Mike Henke, Jacob Huff, Laurie Foster, and Holly Kitchell.

Others Present: Nicole Thiel (Clerk), Lori Cooley, Stanley Republican, Korey Hagenson, Monte Shilts, Jeff Ryba th A motion was made by Huff, seconded by Foster to approve September 20 , 2021 Council agenda striking item number 12. Voice vote. All ayes. Motion carried.

Presentation of the concerns from the Public present: None The Common Council utilizing a single vote may act upon the following items. Individual items, which any member wishes to address in greater detail or as a separate item, may be removed upon the request of any council member. a) Approve the September 7, 2021 Zoning Committee minutes. b) Approve the September 7, 2021 Common Council minutes. c) Approve the September 16, 2021 Personnel/Finance Committees minutes. d) Review the Bi-Monthly reports from the Water/Wastewater/ Public Works/Police/Fire/ Clerk. e) Approve/Disapprove Operator License for Joyce A. Kubesh. f) Approve/Disapprove Operator License for Michelle T. Vallery. g) Approve/Disapprove Operator License for Gloria S. Eslinger. h) Approve Wastewater Training Solutions “Collection Systems” Training for Jacob Lukes to be held on October 13-14th, 2021 from 8am to 3pm virtually at a cost of $165. i) Approve rehire of part-time Police Officer Shaun Starck.

Meyer had a question on item d in relation to the Fire Report. He questioned Korey about the parking in front of the fire station. Korey requests no parking signs to be placed outside on Franklin. Hendrickson spoke with daycare and they only use it as a drop off. County would need to be involved as this is a county highway.

A motion was made by Foster, seconded by Hodowanic to approve items a-i. Voice vote. All ayes. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Huff, seconded by Kitchell to approve the accounts payable checks for August 16 , 2021.

Roll call vote. All Ayes. Motion carried.

New Business: Elizabeth Miniatt provided an update on the library. She spoke about the fall programming and the results of the survey that had been sent out.

Discussion was held in regards to the Chippewa County redistricting. Ward numbers have been modified in newest plan, so Clerk is in talks with how to get this resolved to be back to the previous numbering.

A motion was made by Henke, seconded by Huff to approve the Certified Survey Map (CSM) revisions of Parcel 22905-2624-75406004 to be divided into 3 Lots as drafted by Rick Denzine, Denzine Surveying Inc. Voice Vote. All ayes. Motion carried.

Discussion of 2021 Halloween Trick or Treating was tabled until next meeting. Item #12 struck from agenda.

A motion was made by Huff, seconded by Fitzsimmons to approve the selection of Program Option 2 traditional plus dental as new health insurance for city employees effective 01/01/2022. Roll Call Vote. All ayes. Motion carried.

At 7:52 P.M. a motion was made by Foster, seconded Hendrickson to adjourn. Voice vote. All Ayes. Motion carried.
