It was a good week for the Oriole boys this past Friday, as they came out victorious against Bloomer 60 – 41 in home court play, with a total of 23 free throws throughout the game, five in the first half, the rest in the second.

Coming out of the first half roughly neck and neck with the score 21 – 19 in the Blackhawk’s favor, the Oriole boys pulled ahead in the final min utes of the second half, with 41 total points to just 20 for the Blackhawks.

Leading the Oriole score chart in Friday’s home game was Brady Potaczek with a total of 21 game points, 13 of those in successful free throw attempts.

Following behind Potaczek Friday in point terms was Carsen Hause with 14 points, while Henry Hoel made 11 to- wards the final score and Lucas Smith making eight. Landon Karlen had three points, Logan Burzynski two, and Cooper Nichols one for the night.

As to fouls, the Oriole boys kept things in check for the most part, tying with the Blackhawks at five team fouls total in the first half and then getting eight in the second, whereas Bloomer took 14 on a team level, not good to their prospects. Coming away roughly equal after the first half, the Orioles second half performance sealed any chance that Bloomer had to pull ahead.

The Orioles face off against Regis at Regis on Thursday.
