Taking to the court Thursday, January 2 at home, the Oriole boys varsity defeated the Colby Hornets 67-56, bringing their record 5-2 following a loss to Arcadia 39-57 on Dec. 27.
As for top scorers against Colby Jan. 2 Charlie Hoel lead the way with 23 points overall, followed by Logan Gray with 22. Josiah Demske was third with nine points while Jackson Gindt contributed six.
Overall Jan. 2 the Orioles scored 33 points in the first half to 21 for Colby, following this up with 34 in the second even as Colby turned up the heat to score 35 of its own, the Orioles maintaining the game lead.
Following up Colby with a game against Stratford, the top scoring position went to Gray with 16 points overall, followed by Hoel with 14 points, Gindt scored three points and Carter Isenberger scored two.
Now with a 6-3 overall record after scoring an 80-67 win against Cadott, the Orioles next face McDonell at home Friday, Jan. 9. Game start is 7:15 p.m.
