The Oriole Diamond Club has officially completed its first season as a new youth baseball and softball organization, closing out a successful summer of teamwork, development, and community spirit.
Led by club president Craig Luzinski, along with Vice President Cory Kimball, Treasurer Sarah McQuillan, and Secretary/Softball Director Andrea Mahr, the organization has quickly become a vital part of the local sports scene, thanks to the efforts of dedicated sponsors, coaches, concession volunteers, and supportive families.
The club isn’t slowing down anytime soon. As part of the Stanley Watermelon Festival, the Oriole Diamond Club will host a Majors Baseball Tournament on Sunday, July 27, at Chapman Park. Spectators are encouraged to come cheer on the teams and enjoy a day of competitive youth baseball —and while you’re there, grab a snack or a cold drink from the club’s concession stand. Proceeds help support future seasons, so every purchase goes toward growing the game.
Looking ahead, the club is also partnering with the Minnesota Twins to bring a Twins Community Fund Youth Softball/Baseball Clinic to local kids. The free clinic is open to children ages 6–12 and will take place on Saturday, August 16, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. at Fandry Fields. Sponsored by Oriole Diamond Club Youth Softball, the event offers a great opportunity for young athletes to build their skills in a fun, supportive environment.
With strong community backing and more exciting events on the horizon, the Oriole Diamond Club is just getting started.
