The Oriole girls varsity basketball season is officially underway.
With a scrimmage Saturday at Colfax, Orioles Girls Varsity Head Basketball Coach Ryan Wundrow shared more on how things went.
“We did some great things in the scrimmage and we will only get better,” he said. “Some of the girls are learning their roles on our team which is really important. Blending the older players with newer players can always be tricky but the upper classmen have done a great job of making everyone feel welcome. We obviously have some corrections to make after Saturday but it was great to get to compete against a perennial great team like Colfax. It helped expose some of our flaws which we can work on right away.”
Following Colfax the Orioles faced Wausau East on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at Stanley-Boyd, after press time.
