Oriole golfers tee off for 2026 season

Posted

The Orioles boys golf season is in swing the team opening Tuesday April 7 at Fall Creek, followed with an April 9 visit to Bloomer.
At Fall Creek, the Orioles finished third of five teams, scoring 164, while at Bloomer April 9 they finished third of six teams, with an overall team score of 174.
Orioles boys varsity head golf coach Devon Wenndt shared more on how things are looking so far.
“14 players on this year’s roster,” he said. “Two returning All-Conference golfers from last year (Carsen Woodcock, 2nd Team and Brenner Myers, Honorable Mention) give us a nice foundation to build around this year. We add Elk Mound to the West division this year, while Loyal is fielding a team this year to join the East, so it’s nice to see the conference expanding. We missed out on advancing to the WIAA Sectional by just a few shots last season, so the hope is to get it done in May this year. Our fellow West division schools all have a good amount of returning talent, so the conference race should be a good one. I’m looking forward to seeing how our boys progress as we get into the season.”

Varsity boys golf scores from Fall Creek and Bloomer are as follows:

Fall Creek
Carsen Woodcock - 41
Brenner Myers - 40
Ryan Starck - 51
Connor Goebel - 47
Derrick Lato - 46

Bloomer
