March 4 10:00 a.m. A man deemed suspicious and wearing a yellow vest was reported to be looking in a woman’s home, having happened 15 minutes prior to the call.

3:18 p.m. A vehicle with a missing tire was located parked along the shoulder of the entrance ramp to eastbound State Highway 29 at County Highway H. Contact was made with a local tow service which responded to remove the vehicle. 4:12 p.m.

A found cellphone was turned in to police. March 5 2:21 a.m. A man returning home late at night from far away was assisted with a vehicle that had one front tire in a snowbank and the other unable to gain traction due to glare ice on Broadway Street. The vehicle was put in reverse and given a push back.

3:21 p.m. Stanley Police stopped a vehicle for a moving violation. The operator, 60-year-old Rhonda Gurklis was cited for operating without proof of insurance.

4:35 p.m. Stanley Police were called for someone who claimed to be being abused. Incident under investigation.

6:54 p.m. Extra patrol requested on Gilman Street. March 6 1:45 a.m.

A traffic stop was conducted.

2:45 a.m.

Stanley Police requested to assist the Chip- pewa County Sheriff's Office on a traffic stop.

4:16 p.m. Stanley Police were requested for a young person posting inappropriate images on social media. The young person was warned and information documented. 4:22 p.m.

Stanley Police were requested for a dog running at large. Dog was claimed by owner. Report to follow.

6:58 p.m. Police were requested to assist on a fire call. March 7 3:19 a.m. Police were requested for suspicious activity, with few other details.

3:49 p.m. Fire complaint of a vehicle in an alleyway. Stanley Fire responded and officer cleared the scene after a short while. 10:28 p.m.

A man making suicidal threats and throwing things was called in from West Stanley by a family member.

March 8 11:04 a.m. Traffic stop made for expired registration. Operator responded to the Stanley Police Department and renewed the plates.

1:40 p.m.

Office assist with an EMS call.

March 9 3:34 p.m. Stanley Police were requested for an attempted fraud. Information documented. Report to follow.

4:31 p.m. Man called in for requesting a woman to send images electronically. Incident under investigation. Man’s request categorized in call

log under “sex offense.” 10:23 p.m.

Traffic stop conducted for an equipment vi olation, the driver being warned.

10:42 p.m. Stanley Police were requested to assist the Cadott Police Department.

11:23 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted for an equip ment violation, with the driver being warned.

March 10 4:33 a.m. Stanley Police were requested to assist the Clark County Sheriff's Office.

7:45 a.m. Stanley Police observed a vehicle traveling faster than the posted speed limit. Vehicle was stopped and the driver, Amanda Mertens, age 39, was cited for a speeding violation.

8:00 a.m. Stanley Police stopped a vehicle for a moving violation. Young operator cited for no proof of insurance and warned for moving violation.

8:05 a.m. Traffic stop conducted in the school zone, with the young operator being warned.

March 11 5:25 p.m.

Officer investigate a 911 open line which was made known upon contact with father and daughter to be accidental.

7:39 p.m. Stanley Police were called to the north side of town for a mental health concern. A client of a group home was requesting transport to Eau Claire to seek mental health treatment. Police assisted and gave a ride per the authorization of the group home’s manager.

March 12 6:31 p.m. Stanley Police were called to the area of County Highway X and Corrections Drive for a complaint of a black Dodge truck traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was not located.

8:35 p.m. Stanley Police were called to the 600 block of Gilman Street for a found dog with no tags. A photo was taken and the owner was located within minutes via Facebook post of the dog’s picture.

9:07 p.m. Stanley Police were called to Highway 29 westbound near the 102 mile marker for a car vs. deer crash. The driver stated that he wished to continue his drive home but wanted to make law enforcement aware of the crash as he was not sure of what happened to the deer. He was referred to a driver’s report. The area was checked and the deer was not located.

March 13 1:21 a.m. Stanley Police were called to Highway 29 for a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lane. Shortly after receiving the call, new information was gathered and it was determined that the vehicle was now passing Boyd. The call was passed on to the Village of Lake Hallie.

3:35 a.m. Stanley Police were requested to assist the Clark County Sheriff's Office with an EMS call at Cindy’s Bar located in Thorp. Assistance was provided until no longer needed.

5:15 a.m. Stanley Police were called to the 600 block of North Franklin Street to assist Stanley Fire with a structure fire. Police remained on scene until no longer needed. This incident is under investigation.

6:19 p.m. Stanley Police were called to the 200 block of North Broadway Street for a vehicle lockout. The vehicle was unlocked without issue.

March 14 10:16 a.m. Stanley Police were requested for an EMS call. Responded and assisted as requested.

March 15 4:18 a.m. Stanley Police received a suspicious vehicle complaint at the Kwik Trip. Staff advised the vehicle/operator hadn’t done anything wrong and just wanted to let law enforcement know.

8:09 a.m. Stanley Police observed a vehicle traveling faster than the posted speed limit. Vehicle was stopped and the operator, 41-year-old Jamie Seichter, was cited.

1:13 p.m. Police investigated a case involving a young person at the Stanley-Boyd High School.

2:01 p.m. Police again investigated a case with a young person involved at the Stanley-Boyd High School.

March 16 3:00 a.m. Stanley Police received a check person case. Incident previously documented by the Clark County Sheriff's Office.

A dog was reported to be running at large in the 100 block of East Sixth Avenue.

March 17 9:58 a.m. Traffic complaint received of a vehicle trav eling erratically while eastbound on Highway 29. Area checked, nothing observed.

4:46 p.m. Check person received from the Homeplace of Stanley.

March 18 9:40 p.m. Police conducted a traffic stop for an equip ment violation. The driver was warned.

11:04 p.m. Stanley Officer Trey and handler assisted the Chippewa County Sheriff's Office with a traffic stop.

11:25 p.m. Police located an abandoned vehicle on State Highway 29 and had it towed.

11:32 p.m. Stanley Police assisted the Chippewa Coun- ty Sheriff's Office with an OWI traffic stop.

March 19 12:22 a.m. Police were requested in the 600 block of Park Avenue for a harassment complaint.

3:14 p.m. Report of a brown and tan husky running at large in the 200 block of Second and Third Avenue was made. Report to follow.

9:04 p.m. Police were requested for a suspicious vehicle complaint.

9:15 p.m. Traffic stop conducted for a moving viola tion. Orea Nye, age 18 of Stetsonville,was cited for open intoxicants, no registration and no insurance.

11:42 p.m. Traffic stop conducted on State Highway 29 after a traffic complaint was reported. Joseph Davidson, age 38 of Withee, was arrested for possession of methampetamine and paraphernalia.

March 20 3:15 p.m. Vehicle lockout resolved at Kwik Trip. 4:49 p.m. Police were requested for a group home walkaway.

5:02 p.m. Stanley Officer Trey and handler were re quested to assist the Lake Hallie Police Department.

March 22 7:20 a.m. Stanley Police assisted the Chippewa Coun- ty Sheriff's Office in locating a vehicle at an address inside the City of Stanley that was involved in a complaint outside the city and its jurisdiction. Vehicle was listed as stolen from St. Cloud, Minnesota and removed from the property for processing.

3:05 p.m. Fire alarm complaint. Upon arrival it was determined that someone had activated a pull station but there was no active fire or smoke.

3:37 p.m. Report of a possible break-in at an unspec- ified location. The complaint maker was pro vided a written statement form and would be responding to the Stanley Police the next busi- ness day. 3:43 p.m.

Stolen truck at a city residence. 6:48 p.m. Stanley Police were called to assist EMS in the 100 block of West 8th Avenue for an altercation between disabled residents in a home. One person was transported for evaluation.

March 23 1:09 p.m. EMS call for a person short of breath with possible Carbon Dioxide exposure. Boyd EMS responded and transported the patient to a local hospital. 3:02 p.m.

Fire alarm pulled at unlisted location in town. No fire, no smoke, appears to be intentional. Still investigating. For more on the consequences of intentional acts like the above see Chapter 942.13 in the Wisconsin State Statutes.

3:13 p.m. EMS transport call. No response deemed to be necessary after the complainant cancelled the call.

4:50 p.m. Fraud report made. 6:05 p.m. Police were requested to respond to the Homeplace of Stanley for a report of two men approaching their eighth decade and who were “in a physical altercation.”

8:29 p.m. Police observed a broken down vehicle and stopped to assist. Benjamin Evenson, age 21 of Green Bay, was cited for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
