STANLEY POLICE Reports
January 5 9:32 a.m.
Officer assisted Chippewa Sher –
iff's Office with lighting while a ve hicle was removed from the median.
January 6 2:27 p.m. Travis Trudeau, age 27, was taken into custody on a bench warrant to facilitate court appearance and transported to the Chippewa County Jail where he was turned over to the jail staff without incident.
January 7 12:00 a.m. Stanley Police were requested to respond to the Stanley-Boyd High School for a vaping complaint, with a citation issued to a young person for same.
9:32 a.m. Stanley Police were requested for an EMS call, Upon officer arrival it was determined to be a false alarm.
10:45 a.m. Stanley Police were requested for a one-vehicle accident that had occurred. Operator stated that she had struck a sign post. Accident report completed.
3:03 p.m. Stanley Police were requested for a one-vehicle accident. Accident report was completed and citation mailed to 17-year-old operator for operating too fast for conditions.
January 9 3:00 a.m. Stanley Police were requested to assist the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office with a call in Cadott.
1:55 p.m.
Stanley Police were requested to respond to a gas skip at the Stanley Travel Stop, with a letter sent to the registered vehicle owner.
4:39 p.m. Stanley Police were requested for a report of a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on State Highway 29 westbound from Clark County. Area was checked and vehicle was not located.
4:47 p.m.
Stanley Police were requested in the 200 block of East Fourth Avenue for a 911 call. It was determined to be a child playing with the phone and there were no problems.
4:51 p.m. Stanley Police observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. Vehicle was stopped and the operator, Nelson Gutierrez, 18, was cited for speeding.
6:17 p.m. Police were requested for a stray dog.
6:23 p.m. Stanley Police were requested to assist the Clark County Sheriff’s Of- fice.
7:40 p.m.
Stanley Police were requested to assist the Thorp Police Department.
10:38 p.m. Police were requested for a mental health crisis intervention on the south side. January 10 4:26 a.m. Police were requested for a vehicle lockout. 3:50 p.m.
Complainant reported a husky was located in their backyard. The dog’s owner was later identified and the dog was returned. 4:28 p.m.
Complainant requested law enforcement conduct a building check at her home. House doors and windows appeared to be secured, but a small window in the basement was found to have been broken out by her dog.
4:45 p.m. Traffic stop. Kevin Bullard, age 60, was cited for deviating from designated lane of travel.
January 11 8:51 a.m. Report of a person passed out or sleeping in a vehicle near the library. Contact was made with the operated and she stated that she had fallen asleep and there were no medical issues. Nothing suspicious observed.
9:37 a.m. EMS call for a man who fell from a ladder. Officer stood by with the pa –
tient and his wife while first respond ers and Boyd EMS responded.
4:26 p.m. Death report. 8:05 p.m. Stanley Police were called to the 100 block of West Fourth Avenue for a civil stand-by related to an eviction.
January 12 12:00 a.m. Stanley Police were requested for a one-vehicle accident, an accident report being completed.
6:48 a.m. Stanley Police were requested for an eastbound vehicle on State Highway 29 with no tail lights. The area was checked and the vehicle was not observed.
5:29 p.m. Police were requested for a road rage incident.
7:01 p.m. Police were requested for a complaint involving a young person. January 13 8:12 p.m. Police were requested on the north side for a mental health crisis intervention.
10:05 p.m Police were requested for a personal welfare check.
January 14 4:37 a.m. Police were requested to the Stanley Travel Stop for suspicious activity.
4:59 p.m. EMS call for a diabetic reaction. Officer stood by until Stanley First re sponders arrived.
January 15 12:36 p.m. A large bolt was protruding from the railroad deck which crossed Short Street. CN railroad staff member responded and resolved the issue.
1:29 p.m. Traffic stop for cancelled registra tion. Vehicle was recently purchase and the operator provided a new registration plate located in the vehicle. Verbal warning for operating with previous owner’s plate.
January 16 8:11 a.m. Assisted Clark County Sheriff’s Office with follow-up regarding a dis turbance complaint occurring in Clark County.
1:00 p.m. Vehicle lockout. Vehicle unlocked without incident. Waiver form filled out.
2:29 p.m.
Traffic stop for expired registra tion. Registered operator responded to the Stanley Police Department a short while later and registered the vehicle.
January 17 6:30 p.m. Officer was provided information regarding a statement provided to the city by another that was untruthful.
7:47 p.m. Police requested for a personal welfare check.
January 18 8:22 a.m. Stanley Police were requested for a mental health crisis. Contact was made and the person transported to a local facility.
1:40 p.m. An officer was requested at the Stanley-Boyd High School for a mental health crisis.
4:48 p.m. Stanley Police K9 requested to assist the Cadott Police Department with a missing young person complaint.
January 19 3:34 p.m. Check person request called in from another person out of state. Complainant advised that he was unable to make contact with the woman in question.
11:10 p.m. Stanley Police were requested to assist the Clark County Sheriff’s Of- fice with someone they had dropped off at Aspirus Stanley and who was out of control. Everything was ok upon arrival. Assistance was provided until no longer needed.
