Returning this year to Boyd as one of the last true carnivals in Western Wisconsin, Ringelspiel 2022 is due to debut Friday May 27 and run through Sunday May 29 this year.

Sponsored by the Boyd Area Chamber of Commerce, rides will be provided this year as in past ones by Spectrum Entertainment.

Ringelspiel starts Friday evening, the Queen contest taking place at 7 p.m. in the Small Pa- vilion. Those contestants will be profiled in next week’s issue of the Stanley Republican.

Also taking place Friday but in the Big Pavilion will be free music put on by the Big Deeks from 8 p.m. to Midnight. All Saints Catholic Church will be providing food all weekend, and the Stanley Rodeo will have those famous cheese curds on hand at Lotz Park as well.

Come Saturday May 28, a free bingo will take place in the Big Pavilion at 12 p.m. as sponsored by the Boyd Lions Club, while the 7th Annual Dart Tournament will also be returning, with sign up at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. start, in the Big Pavilion. The event is sponsored by the Boyd Chamber and Northwest Coin.

Also taking place on Saturday during Ringelspiel will be the River Valey Pedal Tractor Pull, with a 1 p.m. start near the basketball court. Trophies will be given.

Finally for Saturday at Ringelspiel, there will be free music provided from 7 p.m to 11 p.m. in the Big Pavilion by Rockin’ Billy.

Come Sunday, the big parade will kick ou at 1 p.m., with lineup starting at 10 a.m. Those with questions should contact Jeu Zais at 715- BOYD CARNIVAL

Following the Sunday parade, a free petting zoo will be of- fered at Lotz Park, near the baseball field. Free Boyd Bucks (must be present) and announcing of Parade winners will take place at 5 p.m. at the Big Pavilion. Readers can enter to win Boyd Bucks at any local business starting May 17 through May 28.

Closing out the free music Sunday will be Virginia Steel from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., in the Big Pavilion.
