The Second Annual Stanley-Boyd Archery Tournament arrives this weekend. A total of 38 schools are represented between Elementary, Middle, and High School divisions, the Stanley Sportsman’s Club helping get things started locally and purchasing start up equipment for Stanley-Boyd.
Stanley-Boyd Archery Coach Brandy Pecha shared more on the coming tournament.
“We are hosting our second annual bullseye tournament with 450 archers registered along with our first annual 3D tournament that has 200 archers registered,” she said. “Our annual tournament brings extra people into our community and helps our club fundraise for new equipment plus pay for our archers to attend tournaments throughout the season. We host flights starting at 6 p.m. on Friday evening and wrapping up at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Each flight will have 50 archers varying from 4th grade to 12th grade. Along with two days packed with archery, we will have concessions and raffle baskets available.
“We can’t thank the school board, administration, parents, and archers enough for their support and dedication to our sport to help make this all possible.”
