Ringelspiel is back again! Making its debut this weekend, the festivities start with the crowning of Miss Boyd at the Boyd American Legion Hall Thursday, followed by three days of food, fun, rides, and family entertainment.
Sponsored by the Boyd Area Chamber of Commerce as well as numerous businesses, this year’s Ringelspiel will see Miss Boyd crowned May 24 at Lotz Park, with time to be determined.
Coming Friday, May 24, Spectrum Entertainment will have rides, with tickets $20 in advance and $25 at the gate. There will be free music in the beer tent from 8 p.m. to midnight from Another Road.
Come Saturday, the first annual bean bag tournament for Ringespiel will have sign up at 12 p.m., competition starting at 1 p.m. Also on Saturday, there will be free bingo in the big pavilion at 12 p.m., sponsored by the Boyd Lions, along with Western Wisconsin Pedal Pulls near the basketball court and free face painting.
Starting at 7 p.m. and going to 11 p.m., Fully Loadid will play in the beer tent.
Sunday, there will be a large parade at 1 p.m., with free petting zoo after the parade at Lotz Park, near the ball field. A free Boyd Bucks drawing will take place (must be present), while parade winners will be announced at 5 p.m. in the beer tent—but that’s not all.
Also present at Ringelspiel, the Stanley Rodeo will be offering cheese curds, while All Saints Catholic Church will be providing food all weekend out of the concession stand. The Boyd Lions Club will have charcoal chicken on Sunday.
“Come join us for a round of fun this Memorial Day weekend,” Boyd Area Chamber President Jeff Zais says.
After all, that’s what ‘Ringelspiel’ means.
