Christmas is just around the corner, and there is a perfect gift that you can give this year, the gift of blood. You have an opportunity to be able to help someone less fortunate who depends on the healthy blood donor to enjoy more time with their family.

The Stanley-Boyd Community Red Cross Blood Drive will be Thursday, December 23, 8:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Boyd Elementary School gym. Be sure to add this special gift to your list and make an appointment on-line or by calling Donella Christianson at 715-644-3638.

Many people are very busy getting ready for Christmas and don't always have enough time to give the gift of life by donating blood. A blood donation is a life-saving gift that only costs approximately an hour of your time, but can help up to three people. This is the season of giving and you won't be able to find any other gift that will mean as much to the receiver.

Donors must be 17 years or older, be in good general health, weigh at least 110 pounds. Six – teen-year-olds are eligible, but must present a signed Red Cross parental consent form at the time of registration, available from Donella Christianson. Remember to do the RapidPass on December 23 before coming in to donate to help things move a little smoother at the time of donating. Donors may make an appointment for upcoming drives in 2022 on March 7 and June 2 by calling Donella. See you on December 23.
