The Stanley Chamber of Commerce recently brought local business owners together for two separate events focused on connection, celebration, and looking ahead to the future.
The Chamber held its Annual Meeting Tuesday night at Debbie’s On Broadway, providing an opportunity for members to reflect on the past year and share successes within the local business community.
During the meeting, the Chamber highlighted several accomplishments from 2025, including providing flowers along Broadway Street, hosting the community parade, and growing membership to 45 local businesses. These efforts continue to strengthen Stanley’s downtown and business environment.
A portion of the evening was dedicated to members sharing their “wins” from the previous year. Steve Millen of Lube Supply Store spoke about expanding their online sales and joining ACE Hardware. Debbie Haas shared that Debbie’s On Broadway will be celebrating five years in business in the coming week. As well as Lauren Cody, an already established business owner in Stanley shared details about her new business venture.
Attendees also heard from current Miss Stanley, Sydney Haas, who reflected on her experience representing the community and shared highlights from her trip to the St. Paul Winter Carnival this past January.
The meeting concluded with the announcement of the Stanley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for the upcoming year. Continuing in their roles are Ron Haas as Chamber President, John McLoone as Secretary, Alex Zamarripa as a Board Member, and Debbie Haas as Treasurer. New board members include Lauren Cody of Cody’s Classic Cars, and Breanne Korenuk of Korenuk’s Heating & Cooling, replacing outgoing Vice President Lacey Granger, and outgoing Marketing Coordinator Nikki Witt.
The Chamber also hosted its first Coffee & Commerce event of 2026 at the Stanley-Boyd Area School District. The event was hosted by Superintendent Jeff Koenig and welcomed Chamber members and community attendees for morning networking.
Those in attendance enjoyed an assortment of pastries while hearing updates on upcoming district projects and initiatives. Coffee & Commerce events are designed to provide a relaxed setting for networking while learning more about the organizations and businesses that contribute to the Stanley community.
The next Coffee & Commerce will be held at Forward Bank on Thursday, March 5, at 8:00 a.m. These events are open to Chamber members as well as community members interested in supporting the businesses that make Stanley a great place to live.
