Coming to Stanley-Boyd Wednesday, Oct. 11 and continuing Saturday and Sunday, the Stanley-Boyd High School Drama Club invites you to come see its rendition of ‘The Jungle Book,’ a 45-minute play about a boy on his way home.
“It’s about a boy who’s an orphan and they have to send him back home from the jungle,” Drama Club advisor Kayleigh Steinmetz said. ‘They’ refers to a cast of animals, including a tiger, bear, and other forest creatures, based in turn on Disney’s version of the Rudyard Kipling tale. With a total cast of 40 and sound crew of two, ‘The Jungle Book’ costs just $5 admission and is billed as family and kid friendly.
With the curtain rising Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 7:00 p.m., the show continues Saturday, Oct. 14 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 15 at 1:30 p.m.
“People should go because its’ very upbeat, colorful, and kid friendly,” Steinmetz said of the tale of a boy on his way home.
