Trinity Vineyard Church gets new sign installed

There’s a new sign at Trinity Vineyard Church on County Highway X.

Put in by Skaber Signs of Chippewa Falls around the 15th of October, the new sign features three crosses in a triangular formation, with church information facing both ways on the highway for passing vehicles.

First moving to County Highway X as Trinity Christian Fellowship in the early 2000s after residence at the old First Presbyterian church building at Fourth and Emery, the congregation later joined the Vineyard movement under former pastor Luke Geraty.

Now under Pastor Don Hakes, others involved in making the new sign a reality include Brian Peterson, Marvin Atter, Craig Gouine, Kevin Looker, and Harry Anderson.

The new sign is not the first the church has erected.

“Our sign blew down about two years ago,” Pastor Hakes shared, saying that Peterson had helped come up with the idea for the new sign, the posts grouped in an equilateral triangle formation versus the broader and more spread out predecessor.

With 4 x 4 wooden posts and crossbeams now in place with church information in time for the winter ground freeze, Hakes said the church plans to do additional work around the sign come spring.

Holding services each Sunday at 10 a.m., Trinity Vineyard Church also operates Fruit of the Vine Food Pantry on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, being located at W11581 County Road X between Stanley and Thorp.
