Same event, new location. Just around the corner, the third annual Trunk or Treat will debut at Chapman Park Oct. 28 at 9 a.m., moved from Courtesy Ford for parking convenience and safety. The prior site had necessitated parking far away due to high attendance, while the new site has parking aplenty. Stanley Community Association (SCA) President Kristi Weiland shared more on the plans for this year’s Trunk or Treat at Chapman Park.
“Trunk or Treat will be Saturday Oct. 28, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.,” she said. “Location has moved this year to Chapman Park, to make parking more convenient and safe. Businesses or organizations that want to do a trunk can sign up on our website, stanleycommunity.us, under the events section.”
In addition, this year’s Trunk or Treat will have Stuff-a-Trunk, a chance to donate and give back to the Stanley-Boyd Area food pantry.
“This year we will be doing Stuff-a-Trunk,” Weiland said. “We encourage those that can to bring a donation of non perishable-food or personal hygiene items to help us fill a trunk for the Stanley-Boyd Area Food Pantry. We will also have a spot to make a monetary donation to the pantry.
This is a family friendly event sponsored by the Stanley Community Association.”
