The City of Stanley is currently accepting letters of interest for the vacant seat in Ward 2 on the City of Stanley Common Council. Once filled, this position will be served until April 2024. The empty seat was recently held by Kevin Hendrickson who is taking time off for family reasons.
“I’ll run again in April,” Hendrickson remarked, adding that he is taking time off but not quitting.
Any interested individual must be a resident in Ward 2 of the City of Stanley, must be eligible to vote, and must be at least eighteen years old. Ward 2 parameters include, south of 6th Avenue to West Maple Street between Grant Street and Broadway. The City of Stanley Common Council meetings are held at 7 pm on the first and third Mondays of each month. Letters of interest can be sent via email to nthiel@ci.stanley.wi.gov, dropped off at the City Hall office located at 353 S. Broadway Street or be mailed to City of Stanley, PO Box 155, Stanley, WI 54768. For any further questions, please call City Hall at 715-644-5758.
