Employees from various departments in the City of Stanley gathered together at the City Hall conference room on May 31 for lunch provided by the City of Stanley to celebrate Water Operator in Charge Don Goettl’s retirement.
Police Chief Lance Weiland thanked Goettl for his dedication to the City for so many years. “We appreciate you,” he expressed mentioning that Goettl was always available when his assistance was needed.
“It’s been a pleasure working for the City for the last thirty years,” said Goettl as he shared a few words on his last day of work. Goettl is glad to see that the City is moving on with progress and added that it’s been “a good career” and he’s turning it over to “a couple good hands.”
