Stanley-Boyd wrestler Harper Wiese made the podium at State March 30, finishing third in the WWF Kids Folkstyle State Championships at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. Wiese advanced to State along with Brock Nelson and Lincoln Wilichowski at Merrill this past March, the three competing as part of the WWF Kids Folkstyle State Championships from March 28 to March 30 in Madison.
Orioles wrestling coach Jake Fitzsimmons shared more on the outcome.
“Brock Nelson went 2-2, Lincoln Wilichowski went 3-2 and was one match away from placing and being on the podium, and Harper finished in third place! She wrestled tough and made it all the way to the semi finals. All three of these wrestlers made their first trip to state and I am excited to see how they can do next year and in the future.”
