The Boyd Chamber held their monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. on October 13 at the Boyd Event Center. After the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call, the Treasurer’s report was read. There are no outstanding bills to be paid. Next on the agenda was discussion on the 1st Annual Boyd Chamber raffle. Tickets will be $50 each with a limit of 500 tickets sold. There will be cash prizes which will range from $3000 to $100. Tickets will hopefully be available for purchase before Christmas. Drawing will be held on Sunday of Ringlespiel Days, 2027.
Also discussed was an agreement reached with Carolyn Wanish regarding a storage unit for the Queens float. Carolyn is a new member of the Boyd Chamber.
Next up was the upcoming annual Visit With Santa. The jolly elf will be greeting children and their families on Sunday, December 6, at the Boyd Event Center. Chamber members will be reaching out to businesses and organizations for possible horse and wagon rides, kids crafts, etc for the event. Additional discussion will take place at the next meeting.
Bands for Ringlespiel Days, 2027, were brought up. We are waiting to hear back from a band for Friday night. Saturday and Sunday are pretty much decided on.
The next meeting of the Chamber will be held Tuesday, November 10, at 5:30 p.m. at the Boyd Event Center. All are welcome to attend.
